Micaela Solé

The cycles

María was born in Montevideo in 1973, the same year as the civil-military dictatorship, in the prison for political prisoners where her mother was imprisoned. She spent many years of her childhood with her grandmother until, first, her mother and then her father were released. The cycles tell this story from the intimacy of María's body and that of the women in her family. Her grandmother, her mother, her aunt, and her daughter, all of whom share a story, which belongs to them and to everyone.
